Geoget Privacy Policy
This text explains how and when your personal data is collected, processed and used by Geoget application and his tools. Basis of all processing are the terms of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
In the following text we use
- “we” for the people managing the website or in GDPR speak: the controller
- “you” for the users accessing the website or in GDPR speak: the data subject
- “app” for Geoget application or his tools.
Geoget is application for customer personal usage only and runs on customer's personal computer. It is not a service with public access. Geoget does not store any private information (included information from the Geocaching API) outside customer's computer.
Your continued use of our app will be regarded as acceptance of our practices around privacy.
This text was written to be short and easy to understand by someone who is not a lawyer. If you feel something is not as clear as it should be, please let us know.
User Data
App is the database for storing and managing of your data. Data are stored on your local computer, and is under your control. Geoget does not share it with anyone.
Please, check data license before you import them into app!
Log Data
In a case of an error in the app we collect data and information on your computer called Log Data. This Log Data may include information such as your device name, device configuration, operating system version, shared libraries versins, the configuration of the app when utilizing my Service, the time and date of your use of the app, and other statistics.
You can share it with us for resolving your problem with app. We does not share it with anyone else.
Usage Statistics
Some actions in the Geoget and related web pages are anonymously logged via Google Analytics. It is good for usage statistics and it helps us with application development. No sensitive data are logged
Geocaching API
You may request to access Geocaching API as we are Authorized Developer. We store your information needed for authorized access into Geocaching API as encrypted and protected for usage on different computer, by a different application, or by an another user. You can revoke API access on geocaching.com website anytime.
Access to Geocaching API is comply with Geocaching HQ Privacy Policy. Any customer information acquired through the API or submitted by an End-User through the use of a Geocaching.com Client is held in confidence in accordance with this policy.
Attribution
Powered by the Geocaching API. Made possible through the support of Geocaching Premium Memberships, the API program gives third-party developers the opportunity to work with Geocaching HQ on a full suite of integrated products and services for the community. API developer applications are designed to work with the core services of geocaching.com and provide additional features to the geocaching community.
Third-party plugins
You can install third-party plugins into app. These plugins can access your User Data and can use Geocaching API. Please, refer to third-party Privacy Policy before installing plugins into your computer.
Children’s Privacy
Our app is not intended for use by children under the age of 13. However we cannot have a control on who are using our app. We recommend parents or guardian supervision for children under 13.
Your Rights
The GDPR guarantees your right to information about your personal data, as well as your rights to rectification, erasure, and portability (e.g. for transferring data). Furthermore, you have a right to restriction and objection of processing your data.
